7.0Better in the photos
Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them. The view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one.
You hear the door of the room next to you every time it shuts.

Nothing I would put in this box, and I have thought about it.
We reported a broken shower on arrival and it was still broken when we left four days later. The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. Building work started at quarter past seven each morning and nobody had warned us at booking.

6.9The address is the best thing about it
There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on my map - the bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
Bin lorry at about half past seven on the Thursday, and I heard every bottle. No lift, and it is two flights with a hard turn at the top. Worth knowing before you book.

Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. You get more for the money here than at the two places we priced up in San Blas.
Street noise at the front until the bars close - ask for a room over the courtyard.

9.0Solid choice, would return
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. For Cusco, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties. Firm mattress, which suits us, and a duvet that is not the usual thin thing.
Only that everywhere else now has a lot to live up to.

Proper shower pressure and hot water immediately, not after a minute of hoping. Ola sorted a late checkout on the last day without us even having to push for it.
Not a single thing, which almost never happens.
