Happy we booked it
The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not. Worth every penny, and I do not say that often.

Better than the price suggests
Firm mattress, which suits us, and a duvet that is not the usual thin thing. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly we grew fond of it. The common room does that rare thing of being sociable without being loud at two in the morning.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in December, when it is bright by quarter past seven.

Ask for a room at the back
We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. Within two streets there is a tiny tapas place and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with our bags in the heat.

Solid choice, would return
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. The kitchen has everything, including sharp knives and a decent pan, so we cooked most nights. Lockers are big enough for a sixty-litre pack, which almost nowhere manages. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello.
Nobody was on the desk for about ten minutes when we arrived on the Wednesday.

The view from the balcony is not a marketing photograph - it is genuinely that.
One person on the desk at half past ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

Ended up on the walking tour with four people from my dorm and I was still out at midnight. Lucía sorted a late checkout on the last day without me even having to push for it.
