Ask for a room at the back
Bunks have curtains, a plug and a light each, which is all anyone actually wants; the lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled. Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Siem Reap rather than the hotel.

Very happy indeed
Booked this on a whim and glad I did. In September you need the aircon to work properly, and here it does. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello. Staff run things properly - keycard on the dorm door, quiet hours actually enforced.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.

Strong all round
For Siem Reap, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties.
Loading and unloading outside is awkward on a street that narrow.

Some good, some frustrating
They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for.
One person on the desk at half past ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives. Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through our stay.

Worst stay of the trip
Ayşe on the desk was kind about it, which is more than the place deserves.
There was mould in the corner of the bathroom ceiling and the extractor did not work. We were given a different room from the one we booked, smaller and facing the bins, with no adjustment to the price. The heating did not come on for the whole stay and it was July. Not enough sockets for eight people, so charging is a nightly negotiation.

Not terrible, not memorable
Fine, with caveats. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere. They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. You get more for the money here than at the two places I priced up in Kandal Village. The Bed in 6-bed female dorm suited me well for a short stay.
The hot water failed on the last morning and was still off when I left. No lift, and it is two flights with a hard turn at the top. Worth knowing before you book.
