One to avoid at this price
Mixed feelings about this one. Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it. They keep a jar of sweets by the lift that nobody admits to eating from.
One radiator for the whole room, and in November that is not quite enough. The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

Mixed, mostly good
Reception were helpful when I needed a doctor's address, which I appreciated. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area. I forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted me a table anyway.
The last two hundred metres are steep and cobbled - not a problem, just plan for it.

Falls well short
The aircon held the room cool all through the July heat. Check-in itself was quick enough.
Footsteps from the floor above from around half past six each morning. The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade.

Warm welcome in Da'an
Went in with low expectations after the last place. For what I paid in July, this was the best value stay of the trip by a distance. The air conditioning made the July heat survivable and it runs quietly. Nothing was too much trouble - a spare adapter, a table booking, a taxi at dawn.
The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light.

Not quite worth it
Wanted to like it more than we did. The Deluxe King Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. Clean and tidy throughout the stay.
Checkout at ten is early when you have an evening flight.

Good location, average room
The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left.
No screens on the windows, so it is a choice between the heat and the mosquitoes.
