The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves. We upgraded to the Superior Twin Room and would do it again without thinking.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Zanzibar rather than the hotel.

We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about.
The bed is too firm for us - we ended up putting the spare duvet under the sheet.

6.6A stay of two halves
Stone Town is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over two days. Delivery vans start up under the window from around seven.

Mixed feelings about this one. Bag storage on the last day was useful. Stone Town is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far.
The Standard Double Room is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor. Wifi does not reach the terrace, which is where you actually want to sit.

The gym has what you need for a week away and is never busy.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off. The Family Room is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.

Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained.
