5.8Poor value in District VII Jewish Quarter
Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer.
You cannot set the aircon below twenty-three, which in December is not quite enough. The mattress dips in the middle, which after five nights you notice.

The building is residential, so the stairwell smells of somebody's dinner rather than air freshener. The wifi held up through a two-hour video call without a single drop.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor. It is a good twenty-five minutes from the nearest tram stop, further than the listing suggests.

The room was at least clean when we arrived.
Service ranged from warm to indifferent depending on who was working. Street noise at the front until the bars close - ask for a room over the courtyard.

Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
The window seals are not what they could be and District VII Jewish Quarter is not a silent neighbourhood.

8.7Pleasant few nights
Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - we never heard the street once. A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.

The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine. Check-in was straightforward and the desk answered questions properly.
You have to log in again every day, which is a small irritation that adds up over two nights. The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.
