8.8Easy stay, no dramas
Went in with low expectations after the last place - the wifi held up through a two-hour video call without a single drop. Slept better than at home, which after four flights in a week is saying something.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with my rucksack in the heat.

A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust. Self check-in with a code, clear instructions, and we were inside two minutes after the taxi left.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over four days.

6.9Not what the photos promised
A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed. Roadworks on the corner from half past six on the Sunday, and nobody had warned me.

Straight to it: the location is the thing. Check-in was quick and human, and they remembered my names for the rest of the stay. Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat.
I was reminded about the eleven checkout twice on the Monday, which felt unnecessary.

Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat. Wat Bo has that mix of locals and visitors that makes a place feel alive rather than staged. The wifi held up through a two-hour video call without a single drop.
One person on the desk at eleven in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

6.3Somewhere between fine and not
Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained. You cannot set the aircon below twenty-three, which in October is not quite enough.
