Better options in San Pedro
I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Location is the strong point - ten minutes to Qorikancha and a metro stop close by. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.

Mixed, mostly good
Not fancy, but that was never the point. They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about nine, which in December you feel by morning.

The address is the best thing about it
Clean and tidy throughout the stay. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
Check-in is a lockbox and a set of instructions, so there is nobody to ask when the boiler sulks.

Strong on location and staff
You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat.
Checkout at nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Falls short of the description
Feels like a real home rather than a rental, which we prefer.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed. The carpet on the second floor is due for replacing.

Poor value in San Pedro
Not a disaster, just not what we expected. In fairness, the person on the desk did what she could. The shower at least was hot.
The washing machine instructions are in the local language only. Everything on site is priced for people not counting, from the water to the laundry.
