7.9Reliable rather than exciting
The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with my bags in the heat. Storage is five hangers and a shelf, so I lived out of the bags.

Wanted to like it more than I did. Room was warm enough in November, which was the main worry.
Service ranged from warm to indifferent depending on who was working. Street noise at the front until the bars close - ask for a room over the courtyard.

Cheaper than the chain hotels two streets over and considerably nicer. They cook eggs how you ask and the bread comes from the bakery opposite, still warm.
Nothing worth mentioning, and that is rare.

Went in with low expectations after the last place. Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here.
Breakfast is the same every day, which by the second morning I had noticed.

The shower at least was hot.
There is construction across the street that starts at seven, so bring earplugs.

Charming small hotel, and the old terrazzo floor lifts it above the usual.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after half past ten.
