Two nights was enough
The hot tub was the best part of the evening once the light went. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night.
We were moved rooms on the Saturday at an hour's notice with no explanation. The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.

Adequate and well placed
Housekeeping twice a week kept on top of things. Beach access is easy and there is a shower to rinse off on the way back.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Helsinki rather than the hotel.

Better than the photographs
Went in with low expectations after the last place. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly we grew fond of it. Private pool meant six of us could spread out without booking loungers at dawn.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine we bought stayed warm.

Great few days in Kallio
The sea is genuinely a two-minute walk, not the ten minutes some places call beachfront. Sanne met us at the gate, walked us round the house and left her number for anything at all.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

Not terrible, not memorable
Dog-friendly and nobody minded, which was the main thing. The rate held steady when we added a night, which we appreciated.
Roadworks on the corner from six on the Thursday, and nobody had warned us. The bed is too firm for us - we ended up putting the spare duvet under the sheet.

Small room, great location
Right, so. We booked for three nights and extended to five, which tells you what we thought of the price. For Helsinki, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties. We ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Kallio.
Mosquitoes in the evening once the doors are open - the shop on the corner sells the plug-ins.
