Comfortable enough for three nights
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Firm mattress, which is exactly how we like it. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left - the pool is a good size and always clean.
The radiator clanked from about half past seven every morning.

Stayed three nights, wanted five
No faff with the room: dark, cool and quiet by ten. Opened the shutters on the first morning and just stood there for a minute.

Our favourite find in Dublin
Within two streets there is a family-run trattoria and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point.

Clean and quiet, close to everything
Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about six. The car park is a six-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked; the courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point.

Not quite worth it
Location is the strong point - twenty minutes to Guinness Storehouse and a metro stop close by. There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on our map.
Wifi drops in the far rooms, so I took calls in the lobby. The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade.
