Great few days in Årstad
Fifteen rooms, one very good coffee machine and a courtyard nobody talks in above a murmur. Årstad turned out to be exactly the right call - everything we had pinned was walkable.
Nothing worth docking a point for.

Poor value in Årstad
Fine, with caveats. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Twin Room. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Not terrible, not memorable
Not a disaster, just not what I expected. My taxi driver could not find the entrance and drove past it twice, so save the map pin. Good position overall, and I walked most places rather than paying for cabs.
The bed is too firm for me - I ended up putting the spare duvet under the sheet.

The location is genuinely good, which is most of why we stuck it out.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained. The staircase is narrow and steep, so allow a minute or two more than you think.

Would not book again
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. It is priced sensibly, and that counts for something. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
The aircon unit drips onto the balcony floor, which we mentioned on the Wednesday. Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through our stay.

Tired and overpriced
Charming small hotel, and the art on the walls lifts it above the usual.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Thursday night.
