Comfortable, quiet, well placed
Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. We arrived hours early and they took our bags without a fuss, then messaged when the room was ready. The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves.
We were reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Friday, which felt unnecessary.

Comfortable enough
Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about nine, which in December you feel by morning. The kitchen closes at nine, which I found out the hard way on the Sunday.

Small room, great location
Marsaskala has that mix of locals and visitors that makes a place feel alive rather than staged.
Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.

Strong all round
The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. Ayşe sorted a late checkout on the last day without us even having to push for it.
Checkout is ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Location carries it
The restaurant is convenient and priced about where you would expect. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night.
The kitchen closes at half past nine, which we found out the hard way on the Saturday.

Better options in Marsaskala
Not a disaster, just not what I expected. The aircon held the room cool all through the June heat. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
Footsteps from the floor above from around six each morning. The mattress dips in the middle, which after five nights you notice.
