Location good, room less so
You get more for the money here than at the two places we priced up in Portobello. Easy place to be a group without annoying anyone.
Wifi does not reach the terrace, which is where you actually want to sit.

Not what the photos promised
Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
Nobody told us the restaurant was closed for the week until we turned up hungry on the Thursday. The car park is a six-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Expected far more
Some of this worked, some of it did not. Connection was good enough to work from for a morning.
The aircon unit drips onto the balcony floor, which we mentioned on the Monday. Footsteps from the floor above from around half past six each morning.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them.
The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade.

Needs some attention
Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. Good position overall, and I walked most places rather than paying for cabs. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through my stay.

Comfortable beds, good coffee
Within two streets there is a wine bar and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them.
