7.5Pleasant but noisy at night
Bag storage on the last day was useful. Teodora at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.

Warm room, thick curtains and dark afternoons spent reading - exactly what December is for. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello.

7.3Not quite worth it
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night. The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after ten.

3.6Unhappy from check-in to check-out
It is close to Oia Sunset Point, and that is the whole of the good news. One of the cleaners was lovely and clearly working with nothing.
Two of me, three nights, and almost nothing went smoothly. Housekeeping did not come at all in three nights and I asked for towels twice. Building work started at quarter past seven every morning and nobody mentioned it when I booked. The room smelled strongly of damp and the window did not open to air it out.

Walking back from Santo Wines after dinner took ten minutes and never once felt like a trek. The bathroom is bigger than the one at home, with a rain shower and a bench to put things on.

9.1Comfortable and well placed
Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Oia late at night. They keep a jar of sweets by the lift that nobody admits to eating from.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.
