Easy to recommend
Long weekend, first time in Prenzlauer Berg. In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need. We ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Prenzlauer Berg. We are not usually breakfast people and we went down every morning.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.

As good as Berlin gets
Booked this on a whim and glad we did. We arrived hours early and they took the cases without a fuss, then messaged when the room was ready. The Deluxe King Room is bigger than the photographs suggest and cleverly laid out. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
Nothing at all, and we looked.

Hiroshi sorted a late checkout on the last day without us even having to push for it; breakfast is worth getting up for: seasonal fruit, the coffee made to order and fruit that tasted of something. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed.
Checkout is half past nine and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Everything we hoped for
Twenty minutes to the conference centre, laundry back same day, invoice correct first time. The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen.

Does the job
They keep a jar of sweets by the lift that nobody admits to eating from. Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained.

Deeply disappointing
Marta on the desk was kind about it, which is more than the place deserves. The building is beautiful from the outside.
This is the first bad review I have written in years. Building work started at six every morning and nobody mentioned it when we booked. The fridge in the Junior Suite had somebody else's food in it.
