9.2Handy for Skansen
Booked this on a whim and glad we did. The Family Room is bigger than the photographs suggest and cleverly laid out. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. Warm room, thick curtains and dark afternoons spent reading - exactly what December is for.
One person on the desk at half past ten in the evening means a queue when the airport bus arrives.

8.1Room for improvement
We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.

8.7Great base for Stockholm
Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. For Stockholm, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off.

Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells. The gym has what you need for a week away and is never busy.
The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.

Walking back from Gamla Stan after dinner took twenty-five minutes and never once felt like a trek. Blackout curtains that meet in the middle, a mattress with some life in it, and silence after eleven.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.
