Nearly perfect
Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Centro Storico late at night.
Nothing that would stop us booking again tomorrow.

Could not have gone better
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need. Somebody on the desk at three in the morning when our flight finally landed, still cheerful.
Only the weather, which is hardly their doing.

Genuinely special
Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here. Good toiletries in refillable bottles, and towels changed without being asked twice. The kettle was already descaled, which is the kind of detail that tells you how a place is run.
That we booked only four nights.

Handy, if a little dated
Would come back tomorrow. I forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted me a table anyway. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.

Pleasant but noisy at night
Check-in was straightforward and the desk answered questions properly. Bag storage on the last day was useful.
Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental.

Reliable rather than exciting
I nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad I did not. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night. A washing machine in the flat, which halfway through a long trip is a real thing.
There is one toaster for the whole room, so there is a queue at eleven.
