Great base for Berlin
Not fancy, but that was never the point. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. Dimitri sorted a late checkout on the last day without me even having to push for it. The heating was already on when I arrived, which in December matters more than any spa.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

Better than the street suggests
Spot on for a first visit - you can walk out of the door and start. Our flight landed at one in the morning and the man on the desk still made us a tea.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Berlin rather than the hotel.

Falls well short
It works as a place to sleep between meetings.
One radiator for the whole room, and in December that is not quite enough. The room I was given was not the one I booked and it took three conversations to be moved.

Restful and central
Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Prenzlauer Berg late at night.
Breakfast is the same every day, which by the third morning I had noticed.

Comfortable and well placed
Prenzlauer Berg turned out to be exactly the right call - everything we had pinned was walkable. Worth every penny, and we do not say that often.
Hot water was slow to arrive on the second floor first thing.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them. Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
The bathroom fan runs for ten minutes after you leave and is loud. It is showing its age in places - a chipped door frame here, a tired carpet there.
