Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over five days.

8.0Clean and central, not much else
The view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one. Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.

7.5Adequate and well placed
They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Weligama is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Location is the strong point - twenty minutes to Stilt fishermen and a metro stop close by. Straightforward self check-in and a well-equipped flat.
The grouting in the bathroom is tired and no amount of cleaning will fix it now.

I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was. Living like a resident rather than a guest for a week: market, kitchen, balcony, repeat.

3.6Checked out early and did not look back
One of the cleaners was lovely and clearly working with nothing.
Noise from the bar downstairs went on past two every night and the walls do nothing. No hot water at all on the third morning, and no warning that the boiler was being worked on. The lift was out of order the whole week and there is no sign of it being fixed. The heating did not work properly for the first five nights and the fix took until the second day.

7.3Would think twice
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building. Kitchen is well enough equipped for simple cooking.
Check-in is a lockbox and a set of instructions, so there is nobody to ask when the boiler sulks. The keycards demagnetised twice and I had to go back down to the desk.
