7.1Half worked, half didn't
The concierge was helpful with tickets and directions. The Deluxe King Room suited me well for a short stay. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
The radiator clanked from about six every morning.

Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained.

10.0Better than the photographs
You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being. Two nights in and I was sleeping through until eight, which never happens for me.
Nothing - we have already looked at dates for next year.

2.7Genuinely poor
It is quiet during the day, if that is any use to anyone.
This is the first bad review I have written in years. Breakfast was advertised and included, then turned out to be cereal and instant coffee. Noise from the bar downstairs went on past two every night and the walls do nothing. The hot water failed on the third morning and was still off when I left.

10.0Quiet room, great coffee
Third time in Berlin and the first time we have got the hotel right. There is a lift, which in a building this old is a small miracle. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms.
We could not find anything to complain about.

6.8Good location, mixed stay
The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night. Two bus routes and a tram stop within a few minutes, so I got around easily.
Footsteps from the floor above from around half past six each morning.
