3.5Asked for a refund
The morning coffee was fine, which is a thin thing to end on.
I do not enjoy writing reviews like this one. Noise from the bar downstairs went on past two every night and the walls do nothing. We reported a broken shower on arrival and it was still broken when we left two days later. Service ranged from warm to indifferent depending on who was working.

The gym has what you need for a week away and is never busy. There is a lift, which I was glad of on the way up with my rucksack.
The restaurant is fine but you would not choose it if you were not already staying there. Building work started at eight each morning and nobody had warned me at booking.

Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through my stay.

Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. The concierge booked the museum slots I had failed to get online.

Twenty minutes to the conference centre, laundry back same day, invoice correct first time; the neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello.
Breakfast stops at half past nine even at weekends, which felt early.

8.9Strong on location and staff
Booked late and got lucky. There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on my map. I arrived hours early and they took the cases without a fuss, then messaged when the room was ready. Hard to beat the position: City Walls one way, the market the other, and no need for a taxi all week.
Nobody was on the desk for about ten minutes when I arrived on the Thursday.
