8.7Comfortable, quiet, well placed
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.

Washer and a drying rack, so we travelled home with a clean bag. The heating was already on when we arrived, which in December matters more than any spa.
The last two hundred metres are steep and cobbled - not a problem, just plan for it. The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.

7.8Room for improvement
Long weekend, first time in South Bank. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them - clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
It is a good twenty-five minutes from the nearest tram stop, further than the listing suggests.

8.4Small room, great location
Not fancy, but that was never the point. Lift straight from the street to the floor, so our bags were never a problem.
Checkout is ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

8.3Pleasant but noisy at night
South Bank is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Worked well for a group of us, with somewhere to sit together in the evening.
Pillows are enormous and there is no alternative on offer.

8.3Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
The shuttle runs on the hour and drops you right at the terminal. South Bank is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
The bathroom door catches on the bed frame, which tells you the size of the Standard Double Room.
