Tired and overpriced
The concierge was helpful with tickets and directions. Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
Street parking is free after half past ten and impossible before it.

Pleasant few nights
Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - we never heard the street once. The lift has one of those inner doors you have to pull shut, which the children opposite treated as the highlight of their week. Somebody on the desk at three in the morning when our flight finally landed, still cheerful.
The lift takes one suitcase and a hopeful expression, so there is a queue at eleven in the morning. The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light.

Comfortable enough
Went in with low expectations after the last place. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over three days.

Not what the photos promised
Not a disaster, just not what we expected. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them. The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast.
Checkout is half past nine and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Clean and central, not much else
Straight to it: the location is the thing. Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about half past nine, which in November you feel by morning. The bathroom fan runs for ten minutes after you leave and is loud.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere. The Superior Twin Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go. The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine.
There is construction across the street that starts at half past six, so bring earplugs.
