Pleasant few nights
Blackout curtains that meet in the middle, a mattress with some life in it, and silence after eleven. Belgrano turned out to be exactly the right call - everything I had pinned was walkable. Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - I never heard the street once.
Nothing worth mentioning, and that is rare.

Half worked, half didn't
Location is the strong point - five minutes to El Ateneo and a metro stop close by. They keep a pillow menu at reception and actually bring what you ask for. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
Footsteps from the floor above from around half past seven each morning.

Passable, at a push
Wanted to like it more than I did. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area. Clean and tidy throughout the stay. The Standard Double Room suited me well for a short stay.
The curtains do not quite meet in the middle, so you are up with the light.

Small room, great location
We ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Belgrano. Worth every penny, and we do not say that often. Small breakfast, but everything on the table was good - warm bread and good jam and a pot of proper coffee.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw. It is a good five minutes from the nearest tram stop, further than the listing suggests.

Better than the price suggests
Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point.
Checkout at nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Lovely staff, lovely building
Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here. Lift straight from the street to the floor, so the cases were never a problem.
Checkout is nine and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.
