7.1Not terrible, not memorable
Mixed feelings about this one. Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells. Clean and tidy throughout the stay.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with my rucksack in the heat. The wall to the corridor carries every conversation, and there was one at half past ten on the Monday.

6.6Some good, some frustrating
Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
The lift is slow enough that I walked down from the second floor most days. The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about nine, when the place fills up.

El Born is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
Wifi drops in the far rooms, so I took calls in the lobby.

8.9Comfortable and well placed
The front door code worked every time, which sounds like a low bar until you have stayed somewhere it did not. I am not usually breakfast people and I went down every morning.
I was reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Monday, which felt unnecessary.

Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells; there is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area.
No full-length mirror anywhere in the Family Room.
