Good location, mixed stay
Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming.
Shower pressure drops off when the floor is busy at about eight. The sofa bed in the Family Room is not somewhere you would want a second week.

Not what the photos promised
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. Bag storage on the last day was useful; there is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning.
The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

Good value for Zamalek
I ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Zamalek. Somebody on the desk at three in the morning when my flight finally landed, still cheerful.
No screens on the windows, so it is a choice between the heat and the mosquitoes.

No surprises, good or bad
The Deluxe King Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go.
There is one toaster for the whole room, so there is a queue at half past ten.

Would stay again at that price
Not fancy, but that was never the point. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them. Ayşe at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
A bottle of water in the room costs what a bottle of wine costs on the corner.

The address is the best thing about it
Two nights, and two would have been plenty. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
Checkout at ten is early when you have an evening flight.
