Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. There is a lift, which we were glad of on the way up with my rucksack. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area. Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
The wall to the corridor carries every conversation, and there was one at half past ten on the Friday.

Location good, room less so
Temple Bar is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
For the money we expected a little more attention to detail. Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which we noticed on the last day.

Small place, big heart
Booked late and got lucky. Washer and a drying rack, so I travelled home with a clean bag. The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen.

No complaints, no fireworks
Breakfast is an extra, and worth it for proper pastries alone. I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it.
Towels are changed only on request, which is sensible but was not explained.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
Comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about.
The aircon unit drips onto the balcony floor, which we mentioned on the Saturday. The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.

I would ask for your money back
The morning coffee was fine, which is a thin thing to end on. The bed itself was comfortable. Everything around it was not.
The kitchen was missing most of what you would need to cook, despite the listing. The heating did not come on for the whole stay and it was October. We were given a different room from the one we booked, smaller and facing the bins, with no adjustment to the price. Nobody told us the restaurant was closed for the week until we turned up hungry on the Sunday.
