Left a night early
Not a disaster, just not what we expected. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival. The room was at least clean when we arrived.
The heating is on a timer and goes off at about half past ten, which in December you feel by morning.

Nice staff, tired building
It works as a place to sleep between meetings.
The bathroom fan runs for forty minutes after you leave and is loud. The grouting in the bathroom is tired and no amount of cleaning will fix it now.

Good location, average room
We forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted us a table anyway. The shuttle runs on the hour and drops you right at the terminal. Fair value for London prices, particularly in high season.

Ask for a room at the back
Covent Garden turned out to be exactly the right call - everything we had pinned was walkable. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed. We are not usually breakfast people and we went down every morning.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is London rather than the hotel.

Would send friends here
The kettle was already descaled, which is the kind of detail that tells you how a place is run. For London, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties.
I was reminded about the half past nine checkout twice on the Sunday, which felt unnecessary.

Would not book again
Breakfast was fine, and the coffee was better than expected. They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night.
Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental. The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.
