Left slightly deflated
Not a disaster, just not what I expected. The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left - comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking. The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello.
Nobody told me the restaurant was closed for the week until I turned up hungry on the Saturday.

Would book again tomorrow
Slept better than at home, which after four flights in a week is saying something. Check-in was quick and human, and they remembered our names for the rest of the stay. I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was.
Only the weather, which is hardly their doing.

Room for improvement
There is a lift, which we were glad of on the way up with the cases. The radiator clanked at about two in the morning and then settled down, and honestly we grew fond of it.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.

Best breakfast of the trip
Would come back tomorrow. South Beach has that mix of locals and visitors that makes a place feel alive rather than staged. There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning.
I have sat here for a minute and cannot think of anything.

Tired and overpriced
We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Good spread at breakfast and they keep the coffee coming. The Family Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go.
The sofa bed in the Family Room is not somewhere you would want a second week.
