Good location, average room
The rate held steady when I added a night, which I appreciated. Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it. Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through my stay.

Would not book again
There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning; the room was at least clean when we arrived.
The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about ten, when the place fills up. The hot water failed on the first morning and was still off when we left.

Fine, and fine is enough
You get more for the money here than at the two places we priced up in Centro Storico. The terrace is a good place to sit with a book in the late afternoon; someone has planted herbs in pots by the door and you are clearly meant to use them.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Sunday night.

Worth every penny
Cheaper than the chain hotels two streets over and considerably nicer. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. You step out of the door and you are already somewhere worth being.

Slept like a stone
I ended up in the same corner cafe three mornings running, which tells you something about Centro Storico. Proper shower pressure and hot water immediately, not after a minute of hoping.

Records in the room, a proper armchair and the coffee that would hold up in any city. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
