Strong on location and staff
The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen. Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here.
Waiting forty seconds for the lift each time adds up when you go back for a jumper. Breakfast is the same every day, which by the first morning I had noticed.

Comfortable enough for three nights
Good position overall, and I walked most places rather than paying for cabs.
Loading and unloading outside is awkward on a street that narrow.

Nearly perfect
Short version: yes. Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night. I upgraded to the Terrace Room and would do it again without thinking.
One small lift for two floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once.

One night too many
Two nights, and two would have been plenty - the view over the rooftops from the balcony is a proper one. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere.
There is a bar on the corner that empties out noisily on a Saturday night. No full-length mirror anywhere in the Cosy Room.

Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Töölö late at night.

Lovely, if you don't mind stairs
The roof terrace at sunset is the reason to book this place - we went up every night. A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust.
Getting a taxi to find the entrance took some explaining.
