Comfortable enough for three nights
There is a lift, which we were glad of on the way up with my rucksack. Worked well for a group of us, with somewhere to sit together in the evening.
Checkout at half past nine is early when you have an evening flight. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Comfortable, quiet, well placed
Christmas markets two streets away and the smell of them drifting up to the window. I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was.
The lift takes one suitcase and a hopeful expression, so there is a queue at eleven in the morning.

Bryggen done properly
Twenty minutes to the conference centre, laundry back same day, invoice correct first time. We upgraded to the Standard Double Room and would do it again without thinking. The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
Hot water was slow to arrive on the second floor first thing. One small lift for four floors - fine unless everyone checks out at once.

Room for improvement
Clean and tidy throughout the stay. There is a lift, which I was glad of on the way up with my rucksack. Bryggen is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far.
The carpet on the sixth floor is due for replacing.

One night too many
Fine, with caveats. Clean and tidy throughout the stay. The Deluxe King Room suited us well for a short stay. The rate held steady when we added a night, which we appreciated.
Nobody was on the desk for about fifteen minutes when we arrived on the Friday.

Great few days in Bryggen
Two nights in and we were sleeping through until eight, which never happens for us.
Checkout is half past ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.
