Disappointing, sadly
Pleasant bar for a nightcap, and they do not rush you out of it.
For the money I expected a little more attention to detail.

Would look elsewhere next time
Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside. The stairs creak in a way that is either charming or annoying depending on how tired you are. Room was warm enough in November, which was the main worry.
I asked twice about the noise and nothing came of it. The keycards demagnetised twice and I had to go back down to the desk.

Good sleep, good breakfast
We upgraded to the Deluxe King Room and would do it again without thinking. A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers.
Only one socket by the bed, and the switch for it is behind the headboard.

Easy stay, no dramas
We nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad we did not. Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. the coffee in the lobby is free all day and genuinely good.
Checkout is nine and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast. It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with the cases in the heat.

Nearly perfect
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. Paulo at the concierge desk got us a table at a place that had told us it was fully booked. Shuttle runs often enough that we never checked the timetable twice.
The car park is a five-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Fair value for Cartagena
The neighbour opposite waters her balcony at seven every morning and says hello. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
Wifi drops in the far rooms, so I took calls in the lobby.
