Hotel Meridian Juárez occupies a corner of Juárez that puts Zócalo on one side and the market on the other. It scores well on walk to the main sights, less so on being the cheapest option in Juárez. Luggage storage on both sides of the stay is free and easy.

Passable, at a push
Mixed feelings about this one. Worked well for a group of us, with somewhere to sit together in the evening. They lent us an umbrella on the wet Tuesday and did not ask for it back until we left.
The radiator clanked from about half past seven every morning.

Good sleep, good breakfast
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Mexico City rather than the hotel. There is no fridge in the room, so the wine I bought stayed warm.

Restful and central
Juárez turned out to be exactly the right call - everything I had pinned was walkable. Iron that heats up, a mirror you can knot a tie in, and enough sockets by the bed. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point. The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen.
No full-length mirror anywhere in the Superior Twin Room.

Better than the price suggests
Andrei on reception had us checked in inside three minutes and drew a map of the area on the spot. A proper coffee machine in the room, not sachets of dust.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw. Blackout blinds would make a difference in October, when it is bright by half past six.

Hard to recommend at this rate
Some of this worked, some of it did not. our youngest were happy, which is most of the review. The Junior Suite suited us well for a short stay.
Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which we noticed on the first day. Storage is three hangers and a shelf, so we lived out of the bags.

Falls well short
Worked well for a group of us, with somewhere to sit together in the evening.
Storage is three hangers and a shelf, so we lived out of the bags. Scaffolding went up on the building opposite halfway through our stay.
