Would recommend with one caveat
Straight to it: the location is the thing. The wifi held up through a two-hour video call without a single drop. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with our bags in the heat.

Good spot, tired rooms
The desk kept an eye out for me without making a thing of it.
The staircase is narrow and steep, so allow a minute or two more than you think.

One night too many
Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside; the desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival.
The walk back from Blue Mosque is all uphill, which we had not thought about. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Best breakfast of the trip
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.

Would think twice
Good for a few nights alone - I was left to get on with it.
I asked twice about the noise and nothing came of it. The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about ten, when the place fills up.

The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for my late arrival.
The city tax and the cleaning fee together came as a surprise at checkout. Street noise at the front until the bars close - ask for a room over the courtyard.
