Sound choice near Koutoubia Mosque
We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. We forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted us a table anyway.
The bathroom is clean but the fittings belong to a previous decade. Nobody was on the desk for about twenty-five minutes when we arrived on the Thursday.

Handy, if a little dated
A cat lives in the courtyard and considers the chairs to be hers. Palmeraie is a sensible base, a few streets back from the crowds and still close to everything.
There is no fridge in the room, so the wine we bought stayed warm. It is showing its age in places - a chipped door frame here, a tired carpet there.

The concierge was helpful with tickets and directions. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for our late arrival. Clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
Storage is two hangers and a shelf, so we lived out of the bags.

Three rooms on the same floor, which saved a lot of shouting up stairwells.
Footsteps from the floor above from around seven each morning. The staircase is narrow and steep, so allow a minute or two more than you think.

The room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left. Nobody blinked at a table for one, which is not true everywhere.
Housekeeping missed me entirely on the Friday.
