Really rather good
Parking on site and free, which in Vancouver saved us more than the room rate difference. Double glazing that works, so the tram going past is a rumour rather than an event.
Checkout at half past nine is early when you have an evening flight.

Better in the photos
The gym has what you need for a week away and is never busy. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs. Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated. There is a shortcut through the square that saves about five minutes and somebody drew it on our map.
The last two hundred metres are steep and cobbled - not a problem, just plan for it.

Underwhelmed but not unhappy
Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
The sofa bed in the Deluxe King Room is not somewhere you would want a second week. There is no fridge in the room, so the wine I bought stayed warm.

Would stay again at that price
Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
Thin walls, so we knew a fair amount about our neighbours and their travel plans.

No surprises, good or bad
Came for two nights, stayed four. The shuttle runs on the hour and drops you right at the terminal. A desk of a usable size, a proper chair and sockets where you need them. They lent me an umbrella on the wet Tuesday and did not ask for it back until I left.
The Deluxe King Room is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.

Good location, average room
Long weekend, first time in Gastown. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside. Somebody had left a shelf of paperbacks by the window and I got through two of them.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw.
