Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out.

Good sleep, good breakfast
The bed was the surprise: firm, wide and made up with linen that actually felt like linen. Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - we never heard the street once. In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need.
Only that everywhere else now has a lot to live up to.

The address is the best thing about it
Easy place to stay on your own, and the area is fine to walk at night.
The keycards demagnetised twice and I had to go back down to the desk.

Wanted to like it more
They let us sit in the courtyard with our own wine on the last night. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out - the room was cleaned properly every day and the bins were never left.
The kitchen closes at half past ten, which we found out the hard way on the Sunday. Not much space to move around the bed once a case is open on the floor.

Good bones, tired edges
Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
Delivery vans start up under the window from around six. Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.

Clean and central, not much else
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. The Standard Double Room is well organised and everything has somewhere to go.
Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after half past nine.
