Pleasant but noisy at night
Check-in was straightforward and the desk answered questions properly. Wifi was quick enough for email, maps and an evening of streaming; comfortable bed, and they brought firmer pillows within ten minutes of asking.
The carpet on the second floor is due for replacing.

Somewhere between fine and not
Bag storage on the last day was useful. Samir at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
There is one toaster for the whole room, so there is a queue at eleven.

Better options in Wieden
Fair value for Vienna prices, particularly in high season. The gym has what you need for a week away and is never busy.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.

Could not have gone better
Breakfast is worth getting up for: seasonal fruit, the flat whites made to order and fruit that tasted of something. I ran two client calls from the desk and the room was quiet enough that nobody asked where I was. Late nights out and nobody once tutted at us coming in at three.
No screens on the windows, so it is a choice between the heat and the mosquitoes.

Mixed, mostly good
Fair value for Vienna prices, particularly in high season. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
No kettle in the room, which for a British guest is practically a design flaw. The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

The address is the best thing about it
Not a disaster, just not what we expected. There is a lift, which we were glad of on the way up with the suitcases. Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning. Plenty of places to eat within a short walk, most of them reasonably priced.
The bed is too firm for us - we ended up putting the spare duvet under the sheet. The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed.
