Not clean, not quiet, not cheap
One of the cleaners was lovely and clearly working with nothing.
Building work started at eight every morning and nobody mentioned it when we booked. The fridge in the Family Room had somebody else's food in it. The desk was stretched thin and it showed - two requests went unanswered.

Somewhere to come back to
Twenty-four hour reception meant a two a.m. arrival was a non-event. Housekeeping were quietly excellent and clearly took pride in the rooms. Room service arrived in fifteen minutes at half past ten, which is why I book here. Free weights and two treadmills that are not held together with tape.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over two days.

Disappointing, sadly
It is priced sensibly, and that counts for something.
The room I was given was not the one I booked and it took five conversations to be moved. Thin walls, so I knew a fair amount about my neighbours and their travel plans.

Better options in Recoleta
Booked on the photographs, which was my mistake. The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for my late arrival. Marta at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside.
The air conditioning rattled on the third night; maintenance swapped a part the next morning.

Poor value in Recoleta
The bed itself was comfortable enough.
Bin lorry at about half past six on the Tuesday, and I heard every bottle. You cannot set the aircon below twenty-three, which in September is not quite enough.

Comfortable, quiet, well placed
Andrei on reception had us checked in inside three minutes and drew a map of the area on the spot. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in August, when it is bright by seven.
