The best night's sleep of the trip
Came for two nights, stayed four; the bathroom is bigger than the one at home, with a rain shower and a bench to put things on.
Checkout is half past ten and a late one costs about as much as another night's breakfast.

Frustrating from the start
The restaurant is convenient and priced about where you would expect. The Standard Double Room is at least well laid out for the size.
Roadworks on the corner from eight on the Thursday, and nobody had warned me. Service in the bar was slow when it filled up after half past ten.

Faultless from start to finish
Nobody made me feel odd about eating alone, and the desk checked I had got back on the wet night.
I have sat here for a minute and cannot think of anything.

Fine for a couple of nights
We slept well: the room is dark, cool and quiet after ten. Good position overall, and we walked most places rather than paying for cabs. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

Exactly right
The bar pours a decent negroni and does not empty at nine. Iron that heats up, a mirror you can knot a tie in, and enough sockets by the bed.
The walk back to the station on the Tuesday, and that is scraping.

Fine, and fine is enough
Practical base near the offices, and the checkout was quick at seven in the morning.
I was reminded about the eleven checkout twice on the Wednesday, which felt unnecessary.
