Room for improvement
the children were happy, which is most of the review.
The shower head is fixed high on the wall and cannot be angled.

Reliable rather than exciting
Fine for a work trip: quiet floor, quick breakfast, cab rank outside. Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area.
You hear the door of the room next to you every time it shuts. The Superior Twin Room is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.

Easy to recommend
We are fussy about where we sleep. Fast, stable wifi in the room rather than only in the lobby, which is rarer than it should be. The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves.
The car park is a three-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Well run and welcoming
Walking back from The High Line after dinner took five minutes and never once felt like a trek. Half board with a children's sitting at six meant we ate dinner in peace afterwards; the wifi held up through a two-hour video call without a single drop.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is New York rather than the hotel.

One night too many
Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs; the shuttle runs on the hour and drops you right at the terminal. Petra at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful.
The connection slowed to nothing each evening from about eleven, when the place fills up. Service ranged from warm to indifferent depending on who was working.

Ask for a room at the back
For New York, this is a properly central spot without the coach parties. In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need. the espresso in the lobby is free all day and genuinely good; not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
