Room for improvement
Elke at the desk was the standout - patient and genuinely useful. Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Dubai rather than the hotel.

Hard to recommend at this rate
Reception were helpful when we needed a doctor's address, which we appreciated.
No lift, and it is five flights with a hard turn at the top. Worth knowing before you book. The city tax and the cleaning fee together came as a surprise at checkout.

Nice staff, tired building
Wanted to like it more than we did. The bed itself was comfortable enough.
There is construction across the street that starts at seven, so bring earplugs. Nowhere to put anything in the bathroom except the edge of the basin.

Would stay again at that price
Short version: yes; the kettle was already descaled, which is the kind of detail that tells you how a place is run. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out. Good set-up for families - a shallow pool, high chairs and staff who do not mind noise.
No lift, and it is four flights with a hard turn at the top. Worth knowing before you book. The bathroom fan runs for ten minutes after you leave and is loud.

The one to book in Palm Jumeirah
Long weekend, first time in Palm Jumeirah. I upgraded to the Family Room and would do it again without thinking. There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which I discovered by accident on the first morning.
That we booked only five nights.

Pleasant few nights
The heating was already on when we arrived, which in November matters more than any spa. Two nights in and we were sleeping through until eight, which never happens for us.
The keycards demagnetised twice and we had to go back down to the desk.
