Strong on location and staff
Third time in Copenhagen and the first time I have got the hotel right. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right. Iron that heats up, a mirror you can knot a tie in, and enough sockets by the bed.
Nothing that belongs in this box.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
Clean bathroom, fresh towels daily, nothing to complain about. Firm mattress, which is exactly how I like it.
It is uphill from the metro, which you feel with my bags in the heat.

Restful and central
Short version: yes. The staff pointed me to a tiny tapas place round the corner and it became my regular. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.
Nobody was on the desk for about twenty minutes when I arrived on the Wednesday. Blackout blinds would make a difference in October, when it is bright by half past seven.

The window in the bathroom looks straight onto a wall covered in jasmine. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out.
The car park is a eight-minute walk and costs more per night than we expected.

Four of us across two rooms on the same corridor, which they arranged without being asked. Our flight landed at one in the morning and the man on the desk still made us a tea.
Check-in is not until four and there is nowhere comfortable to wait.
