Does what it says
Straight to it: the location is the thing. Camps Bay is pleasant to wander in the evening, and nothing felt far. both boys were happy, which is most of the review.
Housekeeping missed us entirely on the Saturday.

Several things went wrong
The desk is staffed at night, which mattered for my late arrival.
The extractor does not cope, so the mirror is useless after the first shower. The furniture is dated and the corridors could do with a repaint.

Well run and welcoming
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need. Lift straight from the street to the floor, so my bags were never a problem.
I have sat here for a minute and cannot think of anything.

Reliable rather than exciting
The bathroom is cleverly laid out and the shower is hot and fast. The Standard Double Room suited us well for a short stay. Efficient and predictable, which is what a two-night work trip needs.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in October, when it is bright by seven.

I would ask for your money back
Nothing I would put in this box, and I have thought about it.
This is the first bad review I have written in years. The photographs show a refurbished room. Ours was not one of them, and the carpet was visibly worn through. The kitchen was missing most of what you would need to cook, despite the listing. The fridge in the Family Room had somebody else's food in it. Building work started at six each morning and nobody had warned me at booking.

Quiet room, great coffee
In at eleven at night, out at six, and everything worked. That is all I need.
Hot water was slow to arrive on the third floor first thing.
