Nice place, tired lift
Firm mattress, which suits us, and a duvet that is not the usual thin thing. Trails start at the door, so we walked before breakfast every morning. The kitchen has everything, including sharp knives and a decent pan, so we cooked most nights.
Nothing, unless you count the taxi driver on the way out.

The terrace alone is worth it
Ola sorted a late checkout on the last day without us even having to push for it.

Fine for a couple of nights
Check-in was straightforward and the desk answered questions properly.

Small place, big heart
Short version: yes. We upgraded to the cabin and would do it again without thinking. No neighbours, no traffic, and a sky at night that made the drive worth it. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point. The kitchen has everything, including sharp knives and a decent pan, so we cooked most nights.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
We are fussy about where we sleep. Once you get the knack of the stove it keeps the place warm all night. There is a coffee machine in the room, which saved us a few euros a day. The rate held steady when we added a night, which we appreciated.
A bottle of water in the room costs what a bottle of wine costs on the corner. The last two hundred metres are steep and cobbled - not a problem, just plan for it.

Hard to recommend at this rate
Simple and very quiet, which is what we came for. Quiet from about ten at night, once the bar downstairs empties out.
Parking nearby is expensive, though that is Bergen rather than the hotel.
