Lovely staff, lovely building
The kids club actually did things rather than parking them in front of a screen, so we got two mornings to ourselves. Astonishingly quiet for somewhere this central - we never heard the street once. Not a mark anywhere, and the room smelled of nothing at all, which is exactly right.

Everything we hoped for
Came for two nights, stayed four. Half board with a children's sitting at six meant we ate dinner in peace afterwards. Swimming before breakfast, sand rinsed off at the outdoor shower, then straight to the terrace.
The bathroom light is on a motion sensor and comes on if you turn over in bed. Loading and unloading outside is awkward on a street that narrow.

Better than the photographs
Went in with low expectations after the last place. We forgot it was a public holiday and they sorted us a table anyway. We arrived hours early and they took the suitcases without a fuss, then messaged when the room was ready.

The best night's sleep of the trip
No faff with the room: dark, cool and quiet by ten. There is a bakery two doors down that opens at six, which we discovered by accident on the first morning.
We had to be out by half past nine on the last day, and that is genuinely the worst of it.

I would ask for your money back
The building is beautiful from the outside.
The fridge in the Overwater Pool Villa had somebody else's food in it. The heating did not come on for the whole stay and it was August.
