Left a night early
Fine, with caveats. The location is genuinely good, which is most of why we stuck it out. Room was warm enough in December, which was the main worry.
Storage is four hangers and a shelf, so we lived out of the bags. The desk was stretched thin and it showed - five requests went unanswered.

Ask for a room at the back
Samir sat with us over a map on the first evening and half our trip came out of that conversation.
We were reminded about the half past ten checkout twice on the Sunday, which felt unnecessary.

The lowest point of the trip
The bed itself was comfortable. Everything around it was not. Ayşe on the desk was kind about it, which is more than the place deserves.
The Family Suite had not been cleaned properly: hair in the shower tray and dust along every skirting board. Building work started at half past six every morning and nobody mentioned it when we booked.

Good value for Abdoun
Someone has planted herbs in pots by the door and you are clearly meant to use them. Travelling on my own, I never felt uneasy walking back into Abdoun late at night. The courtyard rooms hear nothing but pigeons, which is the whole point.
Blackout blinds would make a difference in December, when it is bright by half past seven.

Great few days in Abdoun
Turned up late, tired and grumpy, and were looked after. Sat on the terrace with a glass of wine watching the light go off the rooftops. That is the memory. Within two streets there is a rooftop bar and a proper greengrocer, so we ate well and cheaply.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor.

Handy, if a little dated
Reasonably peaceful at the back of the building.
Dust on the top of the wardrobe and behind the door, which we noticed on the third day. The radiator clanked from about half past six every morning.
