One night too many
Charming small hotel, and the joinery lifts it above the usual.
The shower door leaks a little onto the bathroom floor. The Double Room with Garden View is smaller than the photographs suggest - two open cases will not fit on the floor.

Checked out early and did not look back
Cheap, and now I understand why.
I was given a different room from the one I booked, smaller and facing the bins, with no adjustment to the price. The heating did not come on for the whole stay and it was December. I was moved rooms on the Tuesday at an hour's notice with no explanation.

Nothing to complain about, nothing to rave about
I nearly booked somewhere flashier and I am glad I did not. I left a charger behind and it arrived at home nine days later, no charge for the postage. The owners are kind and the breakfast is homemade, which counts for a lot.
The shower takes a good minute to warm up, which adds up over two days.

Location carries it
A bell rings somewhere nearby on the hour and we stopped noticing it by the second day. Breakfast is solid rather than lavish - almond croissants and reliable coffee. The Twin Room suited us well for a short stay.
Thin walls, so we knew a fair amount about our neighbours and their travel plans.

Tired and overpriced
Parking is available and reasonably priced for the area; clean bed linen, clean towels, clean floors. That is the main thing.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off. Aircon only runs when the balcony door is properly shut, and the catch is temperamental.

Very good, minor niggles
Nadia on reception had me checked in inside three minutes and drew a map of the area on the spot. Someone has planted herbs in pots by the door and you are clearly meant to use them. They cook eggs how you ask and the bread comes from the bakery opposite, still warm. Spotless, including the places nobody checks - skirting boards, the kettle, under the bed.
A second bedside lamp and a couple more sockets would finish the room off.
